I can throw a frisbee a half dozen different ways, a disc golf disc 350ft both forehand and backhand, a wide variety of boomerangs, am pretty good at skipping rocks, and I've even used an atlatl to launch a spear, but I cannot get a disc to come out of this launcher flat, level, with good spin and go anywhere. At worst it comes out with zero spin and literally tumbles end over end. At best it comes out horizontal with very little spin and immediately flips vertical and stays that way on a ballistic trajectory. Longest distance was achieved with a roller. It never goes in the direction I'm aiming (usually early release). Tried a smooth swing, and a short chop and everything in between. I tried the included disc and it works "best" but still bad (can throw it backhand 250ft without issue so I know it's not the disc's fault), and then changed the grips to fit a variety of disc golf discs all with roughly the same results. I tried with lots of grip, and little grip and reaults always pretty much always terrible. I'm sure it must be capable of launching a disc, but not in my hands.
On a side note, for $300 you could get your disc PDGA certified. It's useful for certain types of mid-range approach shots (since it doesn't skip).
